Day 1
Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam

Welcome to Hanoi! Upon your arrival, your tour guide will pick you up and kindly escort you to your downtown hotel. Then you have some time to gather your first impressions of the enchanting Hanoi. If you do not feel like walking, you can always take a bike ride through the old town.

A dinner in a popular restaurant in Hanoi’s old town is next on the program. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show at Thang Long Theater. It is exciting!

Day 2
Day 2: Explore Hanoi

In the early morning your guide will take you on a bike ride to discover the city while the locals are still sleeping. Before most people wake up and use the constant buzzing of motorcycles, you will enjoy the peaceful, “spiritual” side of Hanoi that many tourists miss. If you are on the Ba Dinh Square, you will witness the solemn flag raising.

Afterwards, a delicious breakfast is served at the hotel. What to expect is a half-day city tour to explore the highlights of Hanoi – the Temple of Literature, the site of the oldest university in Vietnam dedicated to Confucius. A visit to the museums of history or ethnology will give you an insight into Vietnam.

In the evening, take a walk with a guide in the old town, where you can enjoy popular authentic dishes in charming mini-restaurants. Sit down and enjoy this exotic cuisine!

Day 3
Day 3: Halong Bay - "Heaven on Earth"

An exciting day awaits you! In the morning you will be brought to the World Heritage Site – the amazing Halong Bay.

Have you ever imagined driving in an exotic, beautiful place? Join the LaFairy Sails and enjoy a welcome drink and boat meeting. Lunch will be served while driving to magnificent Halong Bay with its thousands of exceptionally shaped limestone islands. No wonder the Vietnamese consider it a heaven on earth!

Are you ready to explore the caves on the islands? Visit the Mê Cung Cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay and climb it to see the panoramic view of the bay from above. It will give you unforgettable impressions.

At the end of the day, you can make new friends or just relax on the tranquil bay. If you want to go fishing, take a moment to learn how to fish cuttlefish. There is always something new to learn!

Day 4
Day 4: Enjoy the beauty of Halong Bay

Start the new day with a Tai Chi session in which you connect with nature. Then enjoy a wonderful breakfast amidst the beautiful scenery of Halong Bay. Next, visit the island of Ti Tov, where you can swim in the emerald green waters. Try to reach the top of the island, where you will be rewarded with some picturesque panoramic views of the bay. If you like kayaking, try out some of the hidden beauties of the bay.

At lunch, you will have access to a local cooking demonstration to see how the wonderful dishes prepared for lunch are prepared. Say goodbye to your shipmates and beautiful Halong Bay as we travel to Ninh Binh.

Day 5
Day 5: Cycling in Ninh Binh

Take the Van to Bai Dinh Pagoda, Vietnam’s largest pagoda. From here, you cycle along the highway to Hoa Lu, an ancient Vietnamese citadel dating back to the 10th century. You will stop here to visit Dinh and Le Temples, as well as the Nhat Tru Pagoda or One Pillar Pagoda, which are only accessible on foot. This bike ride will enrich you culturally with all the religious temples along the way.

After visiting the One Pillar Pagoda, continue on through the limestone peaks to Tam Coc past pastoral rice fields and rural villages. You will have lunch at Tam Coc near the boat launch before taking a 1.5 hour boat ride in Tam Coc. In the afternoon you have time to explore Ninh Binh at your own pace.

Day 6
Day 6: Biking tours and delicacies in Mai Chau

You start the day with the descent to Mai Chau. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a drink followed by an appetizing lunch of fresh and delicious Vietnamese dishes. Another chance to taste this excellent cuisine!

In the afternoon enjoy a bike ride through the valley. The special thing is that the road you follow leads through many villages, over lush rice fields and into the green. In this way you have the unique opportunity to get to know the local tribal peoples and their culture better.

Enhance your experience by tasting local delicacies during dinner and enjoy the local troupe of Muong ethnic minority and Thai people. It’s so relaxing to watch the exotic dances with flowers, scenery and daily farming activities, and sweet dating songs in the fresh mountain air. Unforgettable!

Day 7
Day 7: Settle in Mai Chau

Today it’s about getting closer to the locals! You will start planting rice or harvesting with the villagers. Rice is the most important staple in Mai Chau. It provides substance to thousands of people and plays a central role in festivals and traditions. At the Sol Bungalows you are encouraged to approach this wonderful grain, with paddy walks, planting and harvesting lessons. And it gets better! In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit a local family and watch them weaving on the loom. The friendly Thai people will show you how to weave their traditional scarves that they are famous for, and you can also do it yourself! This inspirational day ends with a delicious dinner in your hotel.

Day 8
Day 8: Ethnic villages of Pom Coong

After a delicious breakfast with beautiful views of the rice fields and mountains, start the day with a relaxing walk. Today you will discover the wonderful surroundings and tribes of ethnic minorities around the small trails and rice fields to the Thai ethnic villages of Pom Coong and Lac. In the afternoon you will fly to Danang in the late afternoon, where you will be transferred to your hotel in Hoi An. You have the rest of the day to relax and gather energy for your next adventure.

Day 9
Day 9: Farming & Fishing Experience

Today you will be taken to the most beautiful scenery around Hoi An. You can explore the typical narrow roads along the landscape by bike. You will be amazed at how peaceful the area is and how friendly people are: just imagine the water buffalo, the rice fields and the local farmers! Get in contact with the fishing nets, ride funny basket boats and visit a paradise of water palm trees and coconuts. You will experience a unique cultural window into the Vietnamese way of life.

Get ready for a river cruise and meet local fishermen to enjoy the practical experience of traditional net fishing. You will also try paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat as you explore the coconut palms lined waterways. In the afternoon, spend some time walking around the old quarter and visiting the most famous sights.

Day 10
Day 10: Sightseeing of the city Hue

This morning, you will head to Hue City over the magnificent view of Hai Van Pass. Prepare for a long day of sightseeing tours. You will get a feel for this fabulous city, starting with a visit to the citadel containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City. You will feel like emperor in this private residence! The imperial city was created in the 19th century after the model of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Next up is the Imperial Museum, Tu Hieu Pagoda and the bustling Dong Ba Riverside Market. To end the day, visit one of the fine restaurants in Hue to sample some of the local delicacies, as Hue is considered by many to be the culinary capital of Vietnam and has much to offer.

Day 11
Day 11: Thuy Bieu village: Meet the locals

Your day begins with a dragon boat tour along the Perfume River towards the village of Thuy Bieu. From Phu Wharf you cycle on green trails to the Nguyen Phuoc Toc prayer palace and Luong Quan Temple. One of the stops along the way is the over 100 year old house “nha Ruong”. You can make sesame confectionery with the locals and prepare and have lunch with rural dishes. The dishes are prepared by skilled women with a poetic hue of local materials. Your bike tour continues to Than Temple, where you worship the Princess of Mai-am, who was the daughter of Minh Mang King in the past. The owner, Mr. Hieu, will greet you personally and introduce you to the old collection of money.

Day 12
Day 12: We hope to see you soon!
